Today we are going to show you how to create a super cute and fun skittles scented watercolor craft activity in the shape of a shamrock!

This is an easy project that you can do with your students at school or at home with your children. An added bonus to using skittles for the watercolor is that it smells so yummy!

Materials Needed For Skittles Watercolor Shamrock Clover

  • Watercolor paper or a thicker cardstock
  • Green skittles
  • Water or vinegar
  • Pencil or image of shamrock to trace
  • Sharpie
  • Scissors
  • Gold glitter glue
  • Plate and cup to hold liquid

How To Make The Skittles Watercolor Shamrocks

  1. The first step is to use your shamrock image to trace onto your watercolor paper.
  2. You will then need to place the watercolor paper onto a plate or dish.
  3. Arrange the green skittles inside the traced shamrock and pour the water or vinegar over the Skittles.
  4. The green coloring will begin to come off of the Skittles candy and will then be transferred onto the paper.
  5. Drain off the excess liquid from the paper and allow it to dry.
  6. Trace the shamrock with a black Sharpie to contrast the watercolor.
  7. Use the gold glitter glue to trace the outside Sharpie marks of the shamrock to create the glitter effect.
  8. Cut out the shamrock clover and enjoy!

This Skittles scented watercolor shamrock was a really fun activity to do. We will definitely be coming up with some new fun Skittles crafts in the future.
