The winter snowflake activity contains three different shaped printed snowflakes. You can use this printable in a variety of different ways.
- You can print out the snowflakes and color them in and hang them as art.
- Have your child glue along the lines of each snowflake and then sprinkle salt over the glue and then let them dry. Once they are dry you can add food coloring to them. Be sure to allow the snowflakes to dry first before adding the color so it doesn’t run.
- You could add a glittered glue to the snowflakes for some flair.

- Sprinkle salt over the glue and let it dry.
- Add a few drops of food coloring to a bit of water and add it to the glue-salt mixture for a cool watercolor effect.
Make A Glitter Glue Winter Snowflake Craft
- Print off the free printable design
- Either use a pre-mixed glitter glue product or use the Elmers white glue and glitter of your choice.
- If using Elmers then trace the design with the white school glue and then sprinkle your glitter over the snowflake instead of salt.
- If using the glitter glue product, then simply trace the shape of the winter snowflake with that glitter glue and let it dry.
These types of salt and glue activities are great for helping to develop your little one’s fine motor skills and are fun to do. Do you have any different ways to use this winter snowflake design that you have tried? Let us know down in the comments.
